The Cricket Society raises funds for its own purposes and also supports and raises funds for good causes including charities in the UK and elsewhere.

The Society’s sister organisation the Cricket Society Trust is a registered charity in the UK delivering opportunities for young people to learn about and play cricket.

The Trust was created as an independent trust to take over the activities of The Cricket Society’s Welfare Fund and to carry on those activities with the benefit of charitable status.  The Trust continues to benefit from its close association with The Cricket Society.

The programmes the Trust supports include:

  • The MCC Foundation’s Cricket Hubs for State School Girls in Birmingham, Essex and Guildford
  • The Arundel Castle Cricket Foundation’s programmes to enable disadvantaged young people to participate in sports, education and recreation
  • The Fred Truman National Schools Cricket League

Since 2015 the Society has been using a legacy fund from a member to partner with Chance to Shine Street which brings cricket to young people in urban areas.

The Society also runs Special Appeals – currently for the Mike Procter Foundation a charity with two foundations, one in the UK and the other in South Africa.
