The Most Promising Young Female Cricketer of the Year Award
2025 Winner: Davina Perrin
The winner of our award for Most Promising Young Female Cricketer is decided by The Cricket Society Executive Committee following a nomination received from the Director of Women’s Cricket at the ECB.
This year's winner is Davina Perrin.
Davina is a top-order batter who represents Warwickshire and Northern Superchargers. In the 2025 season, she scored over 1,000 runs and bagged a place in the PCA Women’s Team of the Year.
She scored her first professional hundred against Surrey in June in the One-Day Cup, and helped Warwickshire claim a spot at Finals Day in the inaugural Women’s T20 Blast.
Back in 2022, she became the youngest player ever in The Hundred when she signed for Birmingham Phoenix aged 15. This year, she won the competition with Superchargers after a phenomenal, history-making knock in the semi-final - 100 runs off just 42 balls.
Davina is a former winner of our Charlotte Edwards Award. She is also a graduate of Ebony Rainford-Brent’s African-Caribbean Engagement programme.
Davina has already played in two U19 World Cups for England - the first when she was only 15 years old - and we feel confident we will see her in senior England colours before too long!
Davina was playing for Melbourne Renegades in the WBBL at the time of The Cricket Society’s Annual Awards Lunch at the Union Jack Club, London, on Thursday, 6th November. In her absence, her parents, David and Patricia, accepted the award on her behalf.
